Our research library and archives hold collections focused on Benton Harbor and St. Joseph history. Whether you're searching for information on people, businesses, organizations, or the lighthouses, we can help. Our rich collection of images found on postcards and in our photo files chronicle the area's past. Resources include:

The Research Library is open from Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.
We may be able to help walk-ins, but for the best service, please call 269-983-1191 to make an appointment. You are welcome to browse the library on your own during public hours.
Research fees are $15 per half hour. Research fees are waived for members of The Heritage Museum and Cultural Center. Additional fees apply for photocopies, digital scans, and commercial use/publication rights.
